This full-day workshop introduces the MMPI-3, the latest version of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI), which is soon to be released in Sweden (2027).
The presenter will describe the rationale and methodology behind the MMPI-3's development and discuss both the English and Swedish language norms.
Participants will gain a comprehensive overview of all 52 MMPI-3 scales, including their hierarchical structure that aligns with contemporary models of psychopathology and personality, along with a review of the supporting research literature.
The workshop will also provide detailed guidance on administration, scoring, and interpretation. The final section will feature case illustrations from various contexts, demonstrating the interpretive framework and showing how MMPI-3 results can be integrated into broader psychological assessments.
Participants will be able to:
1. Describe the MMPI-3 background and development process.
2. Describe the MMPI-3 normative samples.
3. Describe the 52 MMPI-3 scales.
4. Identify the empirical foundations for using the MMPI-3.
5. Interpret MMPI-3 protocols following standard interpretation procedures for the test.
